Jonathan D. Sams Professional Experience:
Jonathan D. Sams is Managing Member of Sams, Fischer, Packard & Schuessler, LLC. Mr. Sams has extensive experience in representing businesses and individuals in both transactional and complex litigation matters. Mr. Sams represents numerous business entities in matters of corporate governance, planning and regulation.
Though he is now business counsel, in the past Mr. Sams has represented clients in complex litigation matters, class action lawsuits and aerospace litigation. Mr. Sams has significant trial and appellate experience. Mr. Sams' practice now revolves around providing very personal representation to clients with needs relating to corporate law, banking, real estate law and estate planning.
Mr. Sams earned a Doctor of Laws from Emory University School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the State of New York in Literature and Persian Farsi. Mr. Sams graduated with Honors from the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California. Mr. Sams has earned numerous academic awards and Scholarships.
Mr. Sams served in the United States Navy as a Cryptologist, Linguist and Middle East Area Expert. He served as Middle East Area Expert for Battle Groups operating in the Persian Gulf and the North Arabian Sea. Mr. Sams is a veteran of Operation Earnest Will (escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz) and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He served in the National Security Agency and worked as an aide to Congressman Bob McEwen (R), 6th District Ohio, in Washington, D.C. Mr. Sams has lectured and published broadly on topics relating to Middle Eastern Culture and Politics, Estate Planning, and Church Liability. Mr. Sams contributes his time to numerous community activities and Boards, including Mason Kiwanis, The Cincinnati Ballet, AERAS (exotic bird rescue), Festivals of Mason, West Chester Chamber Alliance, Fairfield Church of Christ and more. In the February 2009 issue of Cincy Magazine, he was recognized as one of Cincinnati’s Leading Lawyers.

Mr. Sams is admitted to practice law in Ohio and is a Member of the Bar of the Federal District Court, Southern District of Ohio. He is a Member the Warren County Bar Association, and a Member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Sams serves as Turtlecreek Township Trustee and serves on the President's Advisory Board at Cincinnati Christian University. Mr. Sams is a past President and member of Mason Kiwanis. |
